Aftercare Instructions
Aftercare for pelvic procedures
As our pelvic laser procedure is minimally invasive and non-surgical, little to no downtime is required. Patients generally don’t require antibiotics or other medication after treatment. If irritation does occur you can apply icepacks to numb the area and reduce swelling. Paracetamol should be enough if pain occurs, although if it’s persistent please contact your doctor at Hunter Laser Centre.
After the procedure it’s important that you avoid sexual intercourse for three weeks so that the area has time to fully heal.
If you have any lasting symptoms for any of our procedures (more than 4 weeks) please contact Hunter Laser Centre for assistance.

Directly after your procedure you should stick to cold fluids that work towards numbing the area without irritating it. This can include cold icy water, milk and some soups. The next day you may be able to eat normally although if any irritation occurs please stick to soft and cold foods. You can also take paracetamol if necessary.
